Dr. Ioana Marinescu
General Dentist
Dr. Marinescu has been the proud owner of Glad Smiles Dental since 2022. Hailing from Europe, she earned her first dental DDS degree in Romania. After moving to Canada, Dr. Marinescu passed her National Dental Examining Board of Canada ( NDEB) in 2017 and has been practicing at various dental clinics in Alberta ever since.
Her strong passion for dentistry has led Dr. Marinescu to regularly spend time attending continuing education courses. Her experiences have allowed her to understand the importance of tailoring patient care to individual needs. Her kind, caring and understanding manner allows Dr. Marinescu to create a comfortable environment for her patients and to provide them with a positive dental experience and the best dental care.
Dr. Marinescu prides herself on being able to relate to patients from all walks of life. She welcomes patients from every corner of the world, happily helping refugees and newcomers to Canada.
In her spare time, Dr. Marinescu enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and dancing. Fluent in both English and Romanian, she also understands and speaks a little bit of Spanish.
Dr. Alina Drosu DDS
General Dentist at Glad Smiles Dental
Dr. Alina Drosu, General Dentist at Glad Smiles Dental has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. She graduated in 1995 from the University of Tg. Mures, Romania and completed a two-year residency at the University of Cluj, Napoca, Romania.
Having lived in Romania, Dr. Drosu speaks fluent Romanian. She also attended German School for nine years and speaks German as well.
In 1998 Dr. Drosu moved to Canada, and in the spring of 2000, she opened her first dental practice in Fort McMurray. In 2005, Dr. Drosu moved to Calgary and has been practicing dentistry in Calgary.
Dr. Drosu especially loves helping others. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve optimum oral health while enhancing their smile at the same time.
In her free time, Dr. Drosu loves working out and dancing. She also believes that being active is extremely important for both your physical and mental health.
